If you’re looking to see the amazing Scottish scenery from a new perspective, then TreeZone Aviemore is for you. This exhilarating aerial adventure is only 5 minutes away from Ravenscraig Guest House, on the other side of the river Spey, in the Rothiemurchus Estate. This treetop adventure course offers a five-star rating, so satisfaction of a great day out is almost guaranteed.
Anyone over the age of 7, and above the height of 1.1m can ascend the trees of Aviemore. For children under the age of 12, an adult must be present on-site for the whole time. For anyone between the height of 1.1m and 1.3m, there are some limits. They will need to stay on the lower course. But, since they won’t have the chance to tackle the higher course, they can instead take two runs of the first course.
If anyone in your group who wants an adrenaline rush and laughter-filled antics, then here is the place to come.
The adventure starts from the TreeZone Fortress. The first step is to clear the first course. This is known as the Treecreeper course. It is 5m high and features a range of obstacles including a 13m long zip wire. After completing this warm-up course, you can move on to the big bad buzzard course. This course will take you 15m up, high into the canopy. The crossings are longer and wobblier between each tree until you are faced with a tightrope walk to the end. The way down from the top is a heart-pounding zip wire. Maybe you will beat the speed record of 40km/h!
Between Easter and October, the courses are open daily. For the rest of the year, you’ll have to wait for weekends or school holidays. It is always worth checking the website for availability and booking in advance. It is popular, so you don’t want to miss out on your dates.
