We are lucky to be in the centre of a wonderful area for wildlife photography. There are 6 RSPB reserves easily accessible by car, amongst them, the famous and important wetland habitat of Insh Marshes.
Loch Garten and the Abernethy Forest, Findhorn Valley and Spey Bay are other well known local spots.
We are a firm favourite for photographers and with a number local hides, Ravenscraig is the ideal accommodation to base yourself during your visit to the Cairngorms. Some of the most popular wildlife our guests comes to see;
Ospreys, Snow Bunting, Mountain Hare, CrossBill, Pine Martens, Crested Tit, Red Squirrel, Black Grouse,
Wild Cat, Rock Ptarmigan, Golden Eagles, Stags on the Moors.
We can accommodate groups as well as individuals at the Guest House.
