The Best Cycle Routes In Aviemore

No matter how far you want to go, or how much you want to push yourself, there is a cycling route for you in Aviemore. There are our top three cycling routes in the area;

  1. Aviemore To Loch Garten Circuit
  2. Passing through the beautiful village of Nethy Bridge and all around Loch Garten, this route is ideal for beginner to intermediate cyclists. You will set off and return at Aviemore and explore some stunning areas on the way. The route covers 38km with an elevation gain of 337 metres.

  3. Cairngorm Hill Climb
  4. This route is not for the faint-hearted and perfect for those cyclists that love a good challenge. You will head up the Cairngorm Mountain car park, which is located amongst the sixth highest mountain in the country. You will warm up on a flatter section from Aviemore before beginning to climb. Throughout the 33km route, you will pass by Loch Morlich and the woodlands in Glenmore.

  5. Hills And Views To The Lecht
  6. A long-distance route for experienced and high stamina cyclists. This trail begins from the Loch Garten Loop and then heads into the Cairngorms for a climb. During the 106km route, you will head towards Tomintoul, the highest village in the Highlands.
